There have been a few characters that seem roughly based on Fel that have popped up in the current timeline, but not Fel himself. A Corellain, like Wedge and Han, he ended up married to Wedge’s sister and playing a major role in galactic events, with his descendants eventually coming to rule over the Empire. He’s in the running for best pilot around and a total badass. Soontir Fel was an ace Imperial Pilot and commander of the dreaded 181st Fighter Wing. But here are five old characters we think could easily reappear in the current Star Wars cannon. There are also some characters that we just can’t get back, like Jaina Solo– it just wouldn’t work. And sometimes, characters are name-checked without any background clarity at all, leading us to wonder– are they really the same character?
So even if a character is brought back, they probably won’t be 100% the same. But how much of Grand Admiral Thrawn’s character stayed the same? He has roughly the same background and personality, but his story has changed quite a bit from the old EU version.
Thrawn is the most prominent example of of a classic character that’s been brought back. The old Expanded Universe, now known as Legends, was full of amazing characters– many if whom we miss dearly. They say Legends never die, and these ones certainly shouldn’t be forgotten!
